Life Skills & Future Readiness Initiative
Because Success Requires More Than Textbooks.
Beyond Books is Manthan Foundation’s flagship youth development programme dedicated to ensuring that every child and young person, regardless of their socio-economic background, has access to the life skills, guidance, and opportunities needed to succeed in the 21st century.
While academic education remains important, many children from government schools and underserved communities often miss out on critical skills such as communication, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, conflict resolution, time management, and career awareness—skills that are increasingly accessible to students in well-resourced educational institutions. Beyond Books was created to bridge this opportunity gap and ensure that a child’s future is not determined by their background.
Through interactive workshops, mentorship sessions, experiential learning activities, career exploration programmes, and youth leadership initiatives, Beyond Books equips children and adolescents with the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills needed to navigate education, employment, and life challenges effectively.
To date, the programme has reached over 8,000 children and adolescents across schools and communities. Over the next 24 months, Manthan Foundation aims to provide free career guidance and counselling support to 5,000 students from government schools and underprivileged rural communities, helping them make informed decisions about their education, careers, and future aspirations.
At its core, Beyond Books is built on a simple belief: every child deserves equal access to opportunities, exposure, and life skills that enable them to dream bigger, achieve more, and build a brighter future.
