Cancer Awareness Session | Manthan Foundation
Cancer awareness is not just about knowing the disease—it is about recognising the signs, seeking help early, and knowing that prevention and early detection can save lives.
Manthan Foundation, in collaboration with Army Central Command, organised a cancer awareness session with the wives of Army personnel, creating a space for open conversations around breast and cervical cancer, risk factors, warning signs, screening, and the importance of timely medical consultation.
Cancer continues to be a major and growing public health concern across the world. With the burden of cancer increasing globally, awareness and early detection have become more important than ever. Yet, lack of information, fear, stigma, and delayed health-seeking behaviour can prevent women from accessing timely care.
The session focused on replacing fear with knowledge—encouraging women to understand their bodies, recognise warning signs, ask questions without hesitation, and seek professional medical advice when needed.
“Awareness may begin with a conversation, but early action can change the course of a life.”
Through Project SHE — Support • Health • Empowerment, Manthan Foundation remains committed to taking women’s health conversations beyond awareness days and into communities, families, schools, and institutions, because every woman deserves the knowledge and confidence to take charge of her health.
